About me

I am originally from Nepal (my father is a retired Gurkha), and I came to the UK in 2004 to join the British Army.  I served with the Royal Signals for 5 years and I was stationed at Brawdy just outside of Haverfordwest.

During my service, I studied Pasto at the Defence School of Languages, and I deployed on operations in Afghanistan.  I speak seven languages including Nepali, Hindi and Urdu, but tragically, my Welsh is not particularly good!

In 2013 I moved to Crickhowell and began working in a local nursing home.  I also began volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Society as a community befriender – visiting people who are experiencing the onset of dementia to help them retain their connection to their local area.

Outside of work, I love to cook spicy food and I regularly return to visit my beloved Pembrokeshire.
